Where do I want to go most?

Dear Earth,

This is hard because there are so many great places in the world but if I can only choose one place it would have to be New York City. Minus the smokers, the pushy people at rush hour its really breathtaking. I have been to New York and it was really very nice. Here are some pictures of New York

Keep Calm and Get Well

Dear Earth,

Today I am sick, have been all week and today of all days. Today at school we have a barbecue with $3 sausages $2 soft drinks and $1 chocolates not that I need chocolate but more on that in the next post. It’s winter here so it is quite common to get sick. I have been sick a lot this winter. Some of the images below are how I’m feeling right now but some are not for example the vomiting guy.

Thanks Tess

I’m Back

Dear Earth,

I know it has been almost a year since we last talked but i though I’d better start blogging again. So now I am in year 7, high school, very big difference to primary school. I am coping with the homework quite well to be honest Term one they just piled it on but lately I have only been getting a little bit each week. My favourite subject right now is probably Tech (Technology) where we get to do wood work, design tech (making magazines) and cook in food tech. The picture below is of my favourite movie right now, if you haven’t seen it I thoroughly recommend seeing it.

now you see me

The book I am currently reading is Mysterious Benedict Society, again. I got the fourth book June/July last year in the Philippines but it only came out here at Christmas. But instead of getting straight into the fourth one i thought it would be best to refresh my mind of the puzzling adventures Kate, Reynie, Sticky and Constance go on. Here is a picture of the books but not the fourth one.

And some of my favourite songs lately have included Roar by Katey Perry, Burn by Ellie Goulding, Acapella by Karmin, Firestarter by Samantha Jade, 22 by Taylor Swift, The Way by Ariana Grande ft Mac Miller and Best Song Ever by One Direction (and no I am not obsessed with them i just like their music).

Well Thats all,
Tess

Merry Christmas!

Dear Earth,

As you probably know it is getting really close to Christmas. Also, school  is coming to an end. For me here in Australia it is our term 4 holidays and our summer holidays, but as I know in America the summer holidays are in the middle of the year. But what I know Christmas is really about is spending time with your family and friends. Here are soem of my favourite Christmas songs:

100 Word Challenge

Dear Earth,

I have done yet another 100 word challenge. This week instead of a prompt we have a picture. Here it is:

http://100wc.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/wpid-Photo-12-Oct-2012-2240.jpg

Have you ever wondered where your chocolate cake that you have worked so hard on went? Well I am a sweets scientist, and I have devoted my life to finding out all the things you need to know about sweets. From many thorough experiments (not to mention tasty!) I have finally conducted my results on disappearing sweets. Here it is:

Teenage Brother: 30% (midnight snacks the size of a meal)
Parents: 15% (For a large dessert after dinner)
You: 55% (You made it after all)

From Worlds only sweets scientist. Whose work has been proven to be accurate (by her).

Thanks,
Tess

100 Word Challenge, week 8

Dear Earth,

100 word challenge number 8. This week the prompt is ‘Grandparents are important because’. Here is the link : 100 word Challenge. Here is mine:

Family, it is very important and I am going to give you 1 reason why for all your family. Parents are important because they put food on your plate and a roof over your head. Siblings are important because they can teach you important life lessons and responsibility. Grandparents are important because they are always so loving and kind. Pets are important because they are your companions, your friend, they will always be there (if you give them a treat). Aunts and Uncles are important because they are your family. Friends are important because they are loyal and they listen.

Games

Dear Earth,

I love games. Board games, card games, word games, hand games. I don’t know where my love for games came from but it started early. I could have come from that when I was young I was always competing with my older brother and one place I beat him was games. Over time I have developed successful strategies that give me a shoe in for a win. It usually doesn’t take me long to understand the rules and objective of a game though I am not a very good explainer. I know and own so many games I have lost count. One game I recently have got was Guess Who extra electronic. I have always wanted the game Guess Who but I never got it now that I do, I love it. It has all new characters, it is electronic and it has a whole bunch of other features. If you have any games that you like tell me in a comment.

Thanks,
Tess

100 word challenge

Dear Earth,

100 word challenge number 3. This week the prompt is ‘What is that?’. This week I know I got it right. Here is the link : 100 word Challenge. Here is mine:

‘Monday each week is the only day I never wanted to come home from school. But unfortunately school has to come to an end.’ I thought. The rusty, old engine of the school bus could be heard from a distance. The bus door swung open and was a near miss with my head. ‘I wish it had hit me’ I thought. Every week mum bakes up some crazy concoction that is barley edible. 2 weeks ago she put toothpaste in my pasta. Opening the door I asked with a disgusted expression on my face “What is that?” On the table was what I call gloop.
